"Your next design topic is to create a fashionable trench coat for a modern film noir spy. Think James Bond and everything. It should of course be fashion forward, but still be functional. You should make up a story to go along with your design. You can create things to go under the coat, but the coat should still be the main focus."

my model - Ambola- bald, African, dark brown 21

Here are some sketches from Ambola's upcoming film Secret Agent: Twenty One Ninety-Nine.

She plays a bold, sexy, young agent who has been tracking a criminal mastermind. He tries to take her down but thanks to her and an excellent sense of style, he will be defeated.

"Ambola is kicking some ass in a gray leather trench coat that clearly does not inhibit her movement. She whips out a gun concealed within her welt pocket. She fears she might be outnumbered this time so she goes for a daring alternative. She shoots the gun up towards the rooftop. It fires a wire that quickly flings her up by a hook to the roof. She thought she could escape. Little did she know that right there she has become face to face with her arch nemesis. But she doesnt fear. She tosses her weapon aside and takes him head on in a daring charge..."

Little more about the design: The jacket has pleats in the back, contrasted beige top stitchingand hidden compartments behind the semi-belted waist for more super cool gadgets. The boots are also leather to match the belts. (+edit: forgot to mention that there are hidden buttons too, because just that waist closure wouldnt hold everything in place)

Wow I love it, it looks sort of futuristic but still keeps that touch of the film noir period. Great detailing, the little buckles, the interesting cuts of the fabric and the really funky belt are what make it.

I have always tried to design things that are unapologetically beautiful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If I can inspire an appreciation for grace and elegance, that would be the ultimate fulfillment of my life's ambition.
